Co-Teaching & Inclusion: Deep Training

Phase II/Deep Training places more responsibility on participants. Selected co-teaching teams are observed by the presenter as they co-teach in their classrooms. They conference privately with the presenter and receive objective, data-based feedback which is used to determine their goals for the remainder of the training. Participants then plan and co- teach lessons with the presenter and finally once again with each other. Several staff members serve as observers who assist during planning, and then are present in the classroom as the lessons are co-taught. Following each lesson, observers share their feedback with the teams that taught the lesson. A meeting with administrators and participants is highly recommended to insure continued progress with the model.
